Clearinghouse
A clearinghouse is the intermediary that receives claims from a practice, checks and formats them, and routes them to the correct payer — returning rejections and remittance information.
Why it matters
Monitoring charges do not need a new payer relationship. They can go out through the clearinghouse a practice already uses, which is why billing integration matters as much as clinical integration.
